- OGG Kahului Airport (Maui): Maui’s main airport handled 3,745,866 enplanements, offering visitors easy access to the island’s stunning resorts and natural wonders.
- KOA Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (Kailua-Kona): KOA served 2,097,042 passengers, making it the gateway to the Island of Hawaii's iconic volcanic landscapes.
- LIH Lihue Airport (Kauai): Known for its proximity to the Garden Isle’s waterfalls and beaches, LIH saw 1,814,359 enplanements in 2023.
- ITO Hilo International Airport (Hawaii Island): Hilo, the entry point for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, handled 684,175 passengers last year.
Spotlight on HNL Honolulu International Airport
As Hawaii’s largest airport, HNL accounted for 55% of the state’s enplanements in 2023. Its busiest domestic route was to Los Angeles (LAX), connecting the Aloha State to California’s vibrant West Coast. On the international front, HNL’s top routes were to both of Tokyo’s airports: Haneda (HND) and Narita (NRT), highlighting Hawaii’s strong ties to Japan.
