O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, South Africa, ranked second, handling 17,533,720 passengers. This major hub connects travellers to Johannesburg's dynamic energy, from its gold mining history to its role as a leading business centre. It also acts as a key entry point for exploring South Africa’s renowned safari parks and landmarks.

Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in South Africa processed 9,710,835 passengers last year. Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) in Ethiopia recorded 7,973,957 passengers in 2023. Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos, Nigeria, handled 6,818,574 passengers last year. Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city, is a hub for business, arts, and culture, with its airport playing a crucial role in connecting the country to the world.

Tunis–Carthage International Airport (TUN) in Tunisia recorded 6,649,912 passengers in 2023. Tunis, the capital city, offers a mix of ancient history and modern flair, serving as a gateway to Tunisia’s Mediterranean coastline and rich cultural heritage.
