Top Airports in the Pacific Northwest

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), located just south of Seattle, served 24,594,210 passengers in 2023. Known as "Sea-Tac," this airport is the largest in the Pacific Northwest and a major gateway to Asia, Europe, and destinations across North America. SEA alone accounted for 64.9% of the region's passenger boardings, cementing its position as the hub of the Pacific Northwest's air travel network.

Portland International Airport (PDX) handled 8,123,054 passengers in 2023, representing 21.4% of the region's traffic. Situated in Oregon's largest city, PDX is renowned for its excellent customer service, local art displays, and iconic carpet design that has become a cultural symbol of Portland itself. The airport is a favourite among travellers for its convenience and distinctly Oregonian vibe.

Spokane International Airport (GEG) boarded 2,002,286 passengers in 2023. Located in eastern Washington, Spokane serves as a gateway to the Inland Northwest. Known for its proximity to outdoor activities like skiing and hiking, this airport is vital for connecting smaller communities to major hubs.

Eugene Airport (EUG), also known as Mahlon Sweet Field, welcomed 841,919 passengers in 2023. Located in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, Eugene serves as the gateway to a vibrant college town (home to the University of Oregon) and nearby wine country, making it an important regional connector.

The remaining airports in Washington and Oregon collectively served 2,319,184 passengers, highlighting the extensive network of smaller airports that support the region's connectivity and accessibility.
